This temple is kind of far from the other main sites in the city, but it is worth visiting if you have the 6 temple ticket. There's not a lot of people, so the place is more tranquil, and you can walk along the ruins and admire it. If you don't have a ticket you can always buy from the ticket booth at the entrance.

This is a temple complex that dates from the 1400’s. It was first restored in 1711, and then destroyed again during the Burmese invasion. The ordination hall and several other building are in good restored condition. A visit here mixes the old with the new. The monastery and retreat center are fascinating and peaceful to walk through - dress respectfully and be a friendly observer if visiting. We walked through the grounds and sat in the tree shaded groves to take a break from the hot ruin viewing and it was rewarding! They have many structures currently under construction like Prasat Para Borommathat Chedi Mana Viharn

Wat MaheYong in Ayuthaya Thailand. One of the lesser visited temples in Ayuthaya. I believe that more devotees (Thais) come here during weekends. The structures at MaheYong are in better shape when compared to the more popular temples in Ayuthaya. Worth a visit. 50 baht entry fee for foreigners.
